whenever someone knows i'm travelling to taiwan again, the immediate response is 'why?' *what a good question* if you are on good terms with me, my reply is 'to conduct interviews for my future husband'.. the most convenient answer as well, cos i'm bringing my mum along on this trip - if my mum agrees, we can go into marriage preparation etc etc.. in reality, it's almost the case cos i'll be having lunch dates and dinner dates with my taiwanese friends, and they teased me on this issue too.. i mean, they really sounded 'getting ready' to meet their 'rivals' and 'future mother-in-law'!?
when i told my mum about this, my mum suddenly got serious with a 'are-you-serious' reply... i was amusedly shocked~ i mean, she really think these guys are serious in this topic!? ok, i shared with my friend recently.. singaporean (guy) friends have no initiative and not sensitive when it comes to courtship; on the contrary, taiwanese are full of creative initiation and totally sensitive but never serious (at least with me) when we talk about courtship.. my dear friend kai can even discuss life-after-marriage with me in details, as if he's serious.. *see,that's how "fun" and crappy they can be"
then the question i ask myself - am i really looking for non-singaporean bf? hmm.. interesting.. well, i tried but we didnt work out, thankfully we're still good friends now.. so am i? noooooooooooo.. seriously, no! i know i seem to be looking forward to live in taiwan, to stay there 'long-term', but to marry off to taiwan is a totally different issue, ok?
though i'm very much accustomed to taiwanese lifestyle, but i'd still prefer to work and be with my family (not to mention my precious hugo) in singapore.. if there's ever such possibility, i think he must be quite well-off, cos he'd have to shuttle flying between taiwan and singapore much often.. for now, such conceivability is non-existent. and if you people want to pray for this, can you pray for a singaporean who works in taiwan or some where? my roots is and will still be in singapore. *gosh, i'm patriotic*
