how scary virus mutation is .. well, we all know mutations occur, esp in this scientific era.. but no medical discovery can put me on high alert other than Den-3!
for those who dont know, i was hospitalised for 21days during SARS period, and it's all bcos of a small mosquito - DENGUE. trust me, daily blood sampling is not my idea of 'fun stay', esp with the restricted visitations during SARS period. oh man, i've never been so bored in hospital- totally bed-ridden till last few days of my ho-hum stay.. anyway, since then i've been immuned to Den-2, walking around 'unafraid'.. but now latest mutation Den-3 is on the rise!!!
one thing most dreadful about these mosquitoes is THEY FLY. though the current hotspots are not near my vicinity, but hello, these monsters fly around.. ya? just like bird-flu which started in Asia, it's been spreading out to the other side of the globe.. and singapore is only a dot in this globe! i know my word is my bond and i shld be careful with sentimental words.. but i really HATE mosquitoes!
