6 Mar 09 - Interesting experiences i dont need

today is just not 'my day'..

woke up late for my morn jog (J, you deserves it - cos you stayed up so late for the slumdog millionaire movie).. had to dash to bus in order to be on time for my massage.. this time, the masseur is so interactive that she kept me awake throughout my session when i was looking forward to take a nap.. wait, the best is yet to come..

remember i was supposed to meet my friend to check out that cafe? well.. i can say this is the first time and the last time i'd ever ask him out. besides christian doctrines and theology, he simply cant think of anything else to talk!?!?! look, i'm not saying it's not good to discuss and to learn about doctrines, teachings etc.. but hey, not for 2 whole hours!?!? thank God for those cookery books around where i can dive in for help - for some peace.. i know it's interesting to hear my opinions on such denominational issue, since i had been through catholcism, was serving in same ministry and now in 'protestant' church (oh man, i really dont like that p********** word) .. hey i shared my experience and view, what God revealed to me in this journey.. if you dont believe, please step out of your comfort zone, ask to be excused from your ministry for a period and take a step of faith to experience the so-called denominational difference! i mean, if you want to know yet not willing to accept other's experience, why not take the plunge and experience from God yourself?! .. even recalling it now makes me boil.. that was the most unpleasant afternoon tea chat ever! .. dont worry, i kept my cool and tactfully + patiently answered his interrogating questions. .. what a guy - how insensitive!!

ok, wait.. i know that sounds like the worst, but there's more..
i met up the singles group for dinner.. a infamous fish&chips place in clarke quay.. well, for a person who dun eat fried stuff (even though it's fish), i can barely finish the food.. it's just too oily for me... anyway, i managed to distribute my portion out (as usual).. then one of the guys tasted bitterness in his juice, hence he went up to the counter and asked for a change.. i dont know what happened there, but when he returned, the owner came up after him to our table and made a din.. he was on top of his voice that the juice he serve is of top brand and even requested my friend to leave immediately if he dun appreciate the food.. he even refunded the cost of drink so he can leave his establishment ..

of course, everyone was in shock.. first, it's a drink issue, nothing against his cooking or food.. second, chasing him out (including the whole group of us) was certainly not a service scoring move.. but that's how it was - we stopped our after-dinner chat and scurried out of the restuarant.. even on the public pavement, the heat was still on between that guy and the boss.. seriously, i really think we are on his blacklist now, dont even think of returning to his fish&chips (which i dun fancy anyway).. i'm not being bias.. i just feel that is definitely not a way to serve.. even if you take pride in your cooking, or if he's really making trouble, you should always keep your cool to iron the issue.. one thing i've learnt in service - never let your emotions rule your head when you are on duty.. no matter how unreasonable customers are, it's imperative to put yourself into their shoes and try to not to disturb other customers..

well, that's how interesting is my off day.. so interesting that i begin to regret not returning to taiwan.. i really need a peaceful rest.. i can live without all these interesting people now.. i just need a peacful rest..
