3 Jan 09 - Baptism and MEN'S MINISTRY

quick.. let me tell u abt my day!! :)
all was normal n tiring after bathing my dogs this morning.. then i just feel so lethargic.. took a nap and didnt even feel like attending church service today (it's so tempting to fake MC!).. to make matter worse, my pot broke into pieces when i was trying to prepare my lunch.. that really made me feel like 'resting at home' for the day.. (fyi, dun ask me how it broke - i've been using it to cook so many times, today it just 'burst' .. just like that.. usual actions unexpected outcome) .. but yet.. i know when things like these happen - the more i dun feel like going to church, the greater thing is in store for me.. just some 'mishap' trying to deter me from enjoying God's blessings.. hence i dragged myself to Expo..

how right i am! u really have to believe in spiritual warfare when things like these happen.. today's sharing is going thru CHC's 2009 activities plan with the congregation. (talk about starting the year right, pst Kong really plan well way in advance!)

1) i'm so excited!! Water Baptism on 28th Feb!! i've always wanted my baptism to be on same month of my birthday (easy to remember :D ) and here it is!! i'm so happy!! for all my yrs as Christian i've waited for this day, this BIG Day! for those of u who dun understand the significance of Water Baptism in Christianity, it's really a BIG THING!! it's almost like getting married, just that on this day we are married to Jesus Christ as we publicly declare our faith in Him...esp my parents FINALLY gave their consensus for my baptism(after all these yrs!), this is the BIG AFFAIR to me! i'm so excited for it!! i really wish my parents and my loved ones wil be there to witness this marriage!! (in the past i've always wanted 'him' to be there too.. to witness my baptism in church.. but oh well, i never know.. maybe 'he' will be there too by Divine Appointment)

2) the next exciting news is MEN'S MINISTRY IS BACK!! i'm so so happy! just as i've been complaining abt the standard of human male species, i'm very very very excited when pst Kong decided to 'revive' Men's ministry to FULL ACTION!! Guys, you better not miss this powerful seminar!! You are male by birth, but man by CHOICE! Man is meant to guide, to guard and to govern! it's time to RISE UP and be a MAN!
(it's so exciting even though i'm a female) cant wait to see the difference in male's standard! Men of strong faith and conviction, fulfilling the purpose of his creation!
*finally, beam of hope for the human male species*

..finally.. i had fellowship dinner in CHIJMES (yes, that expensive place).. someone was looking at me with such interest before she commented "J,you are now so different from the J in thomson cafe (Jan08)". What a GREAT comment - all glory be to God! she had seen how thin and pale i was, knew what i had to go through (even had to be excused from her wedding) and now she is seeing the 'glow' in me now (fyi that's her exact words - glow in J).. trust me, i was really so afraid of bumping into her (which i obciously did) last Chinese New Year - I was so thin, pale (whatsoever) and just want to be away from her.. she really seen thru J's transformation in 2008.. so when words like these came from her, i know she really meant it.
